Sixth Grade students explore ancient lands from Egypt to Ancient Greece, India and Rome. They will learn about the world by studying various world cultures, their fascinating histories, governments and customs.
Seventh and eighth grade students will explore United States history in a comprehensive, interactive course that highlights geography, events and contributions of important figures. Students will discover many exciting aspects of American history, including colonization, Revolution and new government expansion, Civil War and Reconstruction. students will relive moments in our nation's remarkable history!
All students read about and discuss current events. All grade levels include the following areas/skills: humanities, geography, citizenship education, collaborative learning, multi-cultural perspectives, gender, reading comprehension through guided reading, literature, writing critical thinking, multidisciplinary units, technology, electronic media, environmental studies and tolerance.
